Bio
Ramy El-Etrebyย is a queer, Muslim, Arab American writer, performer, storyteller and educator based in Los Angeles. His writings appear online on PopSugar, Medium, The Huffington Post, Queerty, KCET, and the award-winning blog Love Inshallah. His short story, “The Ride,” appears in print in the 2014 anthology Salaam, Love: American Muslim Men on Love, Sex, and Intimacy. Ramy later developed “The Ride” into a solo theater piece, which he has performed in New York and Los Angeles. Ramy believes theater and storytelling are essential tools for human development. Ramy holds an MA in Applied Theatre from the CUNY School of Professional Studies and is a VONA/Voices writing fellow.
